The Verge.com has compiled a list of sources that highlight the state of play with Ice Cream Sandwich updates for the Samsung Galaxy S II. ICS update for Galaxy SII is available via Kies. HTC announces Ice Cream Sandwich updates

HTC have announced the formal update list for recent phones which will be seeing an update to Android 4.03 aka Ice Cream Sandwich. Let’s hope that by announcing this they are not going to see the same carnage that visited them when they botched the Gingerbread update for owners of the original HTC Desire last year. Samsung Galaxy S II will get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update on March 19

Samsung has confirmed that the UK will start receiving updates to the latest version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, from Monday March 19. “Samsung UK can confirm that the roll out of Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) on Galaxy S II will be available from week commencing 19t March,” it said. “However the availability of software upgrades in the UK will be dependent upon each network’s own software approvals process.” Great news for those with shiny, unlocked mobiles. Acer confirms Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade UK Iconia Tablets

Acer hs confirmed the UK will indeed get Ice Cream Sandwich updates to its A100, A200 and A500 Android tablets. Last week’s announcement that US customers were due the upgrade from Honeycomb in the next couple of months was greeted with enthusiasm over the pond. Android 4.0.3 is rolling out in the UK from today. The latest piece to the puzzle for the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime means that the device wll technically be the most advanced Android tablet available. Already dogged with issues relating to poor GPS performance, Asus have even gone as far as to release a new version at the CES trade show to solve it.
