No Charge for Chargers as O2 & HTC Go Chargerless

O2 and HTC have announced that they will trial selling the next smartphone without a power adapter. In a move reckoned to combat the 100 million chargers that are now estimated to be redundant in the UK. A microUSB cable will still be provided however. It is also estimated that around 21 million customers already have the required charger for their handset. Certainly, anyone who has bought a Nokia, Blackberry or Android in the past few years will fit into this category. But if they are Read more [...]

Vodafone and O2 to take on Everything Everywhere

If Everything Everywhere's monopoly over the 4G spectrum allocation has competitors fuming, then it looks like two of them are teaming up to even the playing field. The problem is that networks have not volunteered this information and the egregious right are up in arms. In the UK, there does not appear to be much of a trace of Carrier IQ. Three and Vodafone have denied that it exists on any devices sold by them while in Read more [...]

Galaxy Nexus

O2, Vodafone and Three all confirmed stocking Galaxy Nexus

On top of this morning’s news about UK network Three offering up the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus, both O2 and Vodafone have joined the geek party. O2 and Vodafone announced via a tweet,  while Three took a bit more effort and actually wrote a press release filled with rearranged sentences from the Google announcement (MIAOW!). No pricing or tariff information id forthcoming however, but interestingly SIM free phone retailer Clove has announced that they are offering an unlocked 16Gb model for £514.80 Read more [...]
