Motorola RAZR i brings Intel to the sexy Android party

Motorola have announced the RAZR i this morning which features an 2GHz Intel processor. Following on from the Orange San Diego, the Ice Cream Sandwich packed phone has decent specs for its modest £342 SIM free price tag. Intel is keen to prove it has the chops to provide a viable alternative to the ARM monopoly in the mobile market and initial benchmarks from the likes of Engadget seem promising. The phone’s key differential over the Orange device is the build and screen. Featuring an “edge to edge” Read more [...]

Is the Motorola Motosmart T-Mobile’s G300?

If you have not got much money in your pocket, and yet you still want a solid Android, currently there is only one player in the game: the Huawei G300 available through Vodafone for the measly £100 on Pay As You Go. T-Mobile clearly want to challenge the bargain end of the mobile phone spectrum by snagging the new Motorola MOTOSMART. Hitting the same £100 price bracket, the Motorola appears to be a decent package for a good price. Firstly, the screen is ok with a 480 x 320 pixel resolution for Read more [...]

Motorola RAZR MAXX

Motorola RAZR MAXX available in the UK & win a Xoom 2

Retailer Clove now have the Motorola RAZR MAXX in stock SIM free for £430. The thicker siblingto the original Android RAZR comes with a beefed up battery offering a huge 3300mAh capacity which is at least twice that of similar phones. And though I said it was thicker….it is still less than 9mm thick. This is quite a neat package offering around 16 hours of video playback. Almost seems like a necessity for anyone with kids on a long car journey. The MAXX shares the same Kevlar shell Read more [...]

Motorola MOTOLUXE now available

Motorola’s middle range Android phone, the MOTOLUXE is now available in the UK. Retailer Clove has announced that stock came in a day early, and it is now shipping. The value oriented handset is an interesting proposition with a 4 inch screen and Gingerbread 2.3.7. It will be interesting to see if the 800MHz processor has the grunt to be able to cope. Like all nm handsets, the spectre of Ice Cream Sandwich hangs over them and as of yet, there is no news on whether the Luxe will remain on Gingerbread Read more [...]

Motorola RAZR Developer Edition misses the point

Motorola have missed the point, big style, because they are scared of the network operator’s wrath. They believe that by releasing a Developer version of the RAZR Android handset, they have made Android hackers happy. The issue mainly is that the types who play with ROMs probably have already got a RAZR. And chances are…they don’t need another one. So what is Motorola think it is proving by releasing this phone? The RAZR ‘Developer Edition’ is available directly from Motorola through its online Read more [...]

White Motorola RAZR on sale in February

Good news for fans of white phones, and fans of the uber-slim Motorola RAZR: the white RAZR is going to be available in the UK next month. Currently the world’s thinnest smart phone (depending on your inclusion of the camera cod piece) will arguably be the phone to have over the year. Or maybe next month. God only knows what Samsung have up their sleeve for Barcelona Mobile World Congress. Not much else say about the story really. Via Eurodroid. Read more [...]

Motorola unleash Defy Mini for dirty people with no money

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AL25JIImLs&feature=youtube_gdata_player Motorola have announced the Defy Mini Android phone. In a similar vein to the Defy+ (but smaller) the phrase “life proof” is being paraded around their press release with abandon. If you are a dirty Hobbit, it is the phone for you. The press release reads that the “DEFY MINI is the ideal smartphone for active users who need a device as resilient as they are”. Yep. Hobbits being eaten by Smaug. “With a 3.2-inch touchscreen Read more [...]
