Handtec have released pricing and pre-order information for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 in the UK. And the shock news that it is affordable! The 16GB WiFi version will be available from June 1 for £311.99. The only version available at launch will be the silver colour with the white following at a later date. Samsung have launched a $4,080,000 contest in a bid to drive app development for the Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Note series of Android device. The bounty is to be cpread over 80 applications which will be judged either by a panel, in the case of S Pen apps, or by popularity on download. Samsung Galaxy Tab re-banned in Australia

Apple did the "definitely thinkable" and have applied to the Australian High Court for an appeal against the decision made on November 30 to lift the ban against the Samsung Galaxy Tab. The High Court has not made a preliminary ruling but instead reinstated and extended the ban until next week's hearing where the validity of Apple's claims will be heard.
