Huawei are one of the biggest telecommunications equipment companies in the world. They are huge in China although their kit is used the world over. Chances are if you are a BT Broadband customer you are using modems build by them. Huawei make no bones about their desire to become one of the biggest smartphone manufacturers in the world, and a couple of years ago they started their assault on the European market. I reviewed the G300 and found it to be a stunning budget range phone. The Huawei Read more [...]

Samsung plainly have a sense of humour, and they need it after the kicking Apple gave them last week in the Courts. It seems a tongue in cheek request by a chap named Shane Bennett has proved that Samsung are listening to customers. Shane made a request of asking for a free Galaxy S III and offered a picture of a dragon as a object to barter with. Samsung then sent back a picture of a kangaroo back and Shane posted this on Reddit. It caused a viral sensation (well for geeks anyway) and the Read more [...]

Well now there is more light shed on the issue, and it turns out that the original owner of the offending phone had a friend put it in the microwave. Samsung got some specialists involved and they concluded that the explosion spread Read more [...]
The Samsung Galaxy S III looks to have sold/shipped 10 million units in the first month of sale according to projections by Samsung’s Head of Telecommunications. That is a lot of phones. A damn lot of phones. The divisively designed Android is in short supply, and it’s image is plastered over every bus stop and TV ad in the UK at the moment. The common thread from everyone who has got their hands on the phone is that it really is not as bad or plasticky as people complained about prior to Read more [...]

If Samsung wants to imitate Apple, it’s going about it the right way. UK retailer Clove has revealed that if you currently own a MHL to HDMI adapter, it will not work with the Samsung Galaxy S III. There is a different pin layout on the adapter. Well done Samsung. You just forced all current users to buy a £30 cable if they get your new phone. Just like Apple would. Via Clove.
