AndyPad now shipping internationally

@AndyPadUK have tweeted that they are now amending their websites to permit orders from virtually any country apart from the USA and Canada. (The * denotes the North American exception. Not sure why this is a problem for them though.) If anyone has any experiences of the new budget tablet we would love to hear from you. Budget Android AndyPad tablet now available to order

The UK designed AndyPad is now available to order from the official website. Two models are on offer and both have a 1.2GHz processor, 6 hours battery life, Android 2.3 with full market support, HDMI output and microSD card expansion. The differences lie between the higher spec Pro model which comes with a 1024×600 capacitive touch screen, dual cameras and 16Gb of memory while the budget model features a lower resolution resistive screen and only 8Gb of memory. AndyPad in Action

Arrival of the AndyPad is not long now with the budget fondleslab launching in 12 days. The chaps behind the device have put up a video of the AndyPad Pro prototype on YouTube to whet our appetites even more. I’m impressed. This could be the one to make budget devices stand on their own two ickle Android feet. What do you reckon? Is a £179 tablet too good to be true?

The official AndyPad twitter stream is laying down the gauntlet ahead of the official launch in the UK of the budget Android fondle slab. They are asking for suggestions for apps to put the tablet through its paces and have invented the somewhat ballsy hash tag of #TheAndyPadCanHandleIt. Direct your suggestions to @AndyPadUK. Just don’t mention Angry Birds…think of something decent.
